| Description: |
Location - Milton Keynes. Responsible for planning, structuring, leading and executing projects whilst providing management experience to key business & IT related projects. To plan, coordinate and supervise the successful delivery of projects within budget and to agreed timescales and methodology standards.
1. Management of projects adhering to the Client's project management framework
2. Planning and designing multiple projects and proactively monitoring their overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
3. Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project team to ensure efficient allocation of resource and skills
4. To ensure that projects are delivered to the appropriate quality level
5. To manage the project team inclusive of all administration and support functions
6. Directing and motivating the project team
7. Sign off responsibility for all key stages of the project
8. Liaison with other Group IT representatives and an understanding of the Groups infrastructure to assist with planning
9. To conduct appropriate business analysis and ensure that are clearly translated into relevant specifications
10. Responsibility for all project documentation and plans
11. Project post implementation reviews
12. Responsible for risk management
Involvement with and support to the Account Management Framework within the Business Integration Team and business Divisions within the Group
People Management
Leadership of project teams
Financial Responsibility
Cost control of project budgets and ensuring optimal value for money from suppliers
Relationships
Internal:
* Users of IT at all levels within the Business
* Senior Management across all Divisions of the Group
* Other members of Group IT. Close coordination with colleagues across all IT teams will be especially important

* Client companies
* IT suppliers

Candidate Profile
The business-led nature of the IT strategy demands that the Project Manager is capable of developing an in-depth appreciation of how the Group provides its service to clients
Good interpersonal and communication skills are required
Solid commercial experience in a busy / development environment
PRINCE2 or a similar project management methodology would be an advantage
This will be an office based position, however the geographic spread of the Client's subsidiary businesses will mean travel and some overnight stays will be required. |
