Location - Towcester. An installation and support engineer is sought by this small but expanding software company based in Towcester.
Our Client is a specialist provider of patient-centric software. Combining IT expertise with our knowledge of the particular needs of the healthcare industry, our products are designed to help hospitals, clinics and practices undertake simple administrative tasks more efficiently – which means that staff are free to concentrate on those patients who need more specialist assistance.
You will be involved in the installation and support of new and exciting products mainly for the healthcare industry. The position offers the opportunity to be involved with a wide range of products covering web interfacing, touch screen applications and network infrastructures.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and more essentially a good telephone manner. A full driving licence and transport is essential should installation be required on customer sites. The post will be based in Towcester where the successful applicant will be part of a small innovative team.
As a minimum some experience of Windows OS networking:
Windows XP, 2003/2008 server and SQL server.
Experience of both Domain and Workgroup permissions
IIS (Internet Information Services)
General Windows trouble shooting will be required, particularly around permissions and experience in installing web based solutions would be advantageous.
Some knowledge of the following would be useful but not essential:
Networking infrastructure
Windows services
Firewalls and antivirus
An added bonus experience in:
Windows 7, Asp.net, Web Services, Javascript
